Intellex 2.1

I have Sensormatic DVMS with Smart Search version 2.1 and was wanting to know if it is possible to update the software to a higher version that would allow me to add a cd writer to export video on cd. If it is possible what do i need to get to do so. I have 12 of these units and the others are 16 camera units that has the cd and it would be nice to have this one with cd as well.

Rich, welcome to our forum...

The simple answer is NO... The version of the Intellex that you are referring to is very old and is based on Win95... There was an upgrade available that could have taken this version 2.1 to version 2.5 and AD stopped making them... Hardware dependencies caused this change to occur. If you had version 2.5 or higher, then upgrades are available to take it as far as 4.x platform...

As matter of fact, even restore CD sets are not available for version 2.1. The current offering starts at version 2.6 and above.. sorry.
