Floppy not found.I suspect the hard drive has failed. It has 2 160 gig drives were can i get the sofware for it? How do i tell what version it is?
Any help would be appreciated.

adrenalin, this was the first phase Intellex systems version 1.0 and the system is based on Win95 platform...
Sorry to tell you, but there are no restore CDs or any parts available from American Dynamics.. This system has been obsolete for over 10 years...
I know we have few of these units that we kept since then... I also know that I have one of them working ok.. but due to length of years of non-use, I am not sure how long it will survive...
You mentioned that it is unable to find the boot sector... If you have a chance to check the BIOS, it is possible that the boot order may have changed... or chances are very good that either the hard drive or the motherboard is bad... very difficult to assess without inspection...
I can not recommend anything tangible for you to perform besides checking the BIOS and physically inspecting the components and making sure that everything is tied down properly...
I know that I have one of these units still working, but I am not sure if we can sell it... as it contains all original parts, including the power supply, etc...
If you really need to fix this system, then let me know... I can check if we still can work on them... However, I will not recommend spending a lot of money.. It is not worth it..
I have seen them still being sold in EBay... but none of them worth the money when there are no parts available to fix them or to prolong their operation.
Any other questions, please let us know.
Thanks,
