From the website intellex.us the price to upgrade to version 4.1 is only $89 which is great however that means that I would have to upgrade windows (currently I believe windows 2000) to XP Pro, right?

Although at some point in the future we would need to do this but our motivating factor now is to take advantage of the web browser included in 4.1.

Not sure which upgrade you are referring to... but there is no upgrade going from 3.x to 4.x for that price... I think you are referring to RDVUPG41 upgrade which takes it from 4.0 to 4.1... but in order to upgrade from 3.x to 4.x, you will need RDVUPG40... and the pricing is around $480.00
