Did you know that you can export Intellex video clips on other than CD burners?
Nowadays you can install a new DVD burner, apply a software patch available at American Dynamics website and instead of having limitation of 700MB of storage using standard CD media, you can transfer video to DVD media up to 4.0GB. We have several models of DVD burners that work exceptionally well, as long as you are using the necessary software patch available on American Dynamics website. We successfully were able to upgrade CD burners to DVD burners on systems with Intellex software version 3.0 and higher, including the latest 4.2 version.
Even more importantly, you can transfer Intellex video to different media, as long as it has a drive number (i.e. f:\, h:\, etc.). What is not commonly known fact is you can replace the need of CD or DVD media with simple USB thumb drives. Ease of carrying or presenting evidence of video overshadows the necessity of larger medias such as CD and DVD medias. Intellex does allow to export video to different media and not only within its control, but also within its local or remote networks. Again, it requires a drive assignment.
The security agents can easily carry such thumb drives for their own investigation cases and they can transfer such content to different media for safe keeping.
To play back the exported video, you can use its existing video player that is an option to include with such exported video or you can download the Intellex player from American Dynamics website as follows: http://americandynamics.net/support/downloads_20080630_Intellex_Player_42.aspx
In conclusion, do not be strapped to operate only with CD burners that are part of your Intellex systems. You have the option to utilize basically any and all other drives available for such a task.
